A Bulgarian team will join an international group of artists to sculpt in snow during the Snow Days festival in Chicago from January 28-30.

Participants can win cash prizes up to USD 1,500.

The third annual Snow Days festival will now be held at Navy Pier. Visitors have the opportunity to see 15 teams of professional sculptors creating their masterpieces at Gateway Park located just west of the entrance to Navy Pier. The teams of professional artists have been selected based on their pencil sketch drawings that they submitted.

This year, in addition to teams from Chicago and neighboring states, teams will head to Chicago from Canada, Mexico, Holland, China and Russia.

The city says that last year's first place team from China will return to create an exhibition piece. The festival also has smaller sculptures made by Chicago high school students.
