Flights will be operated to a total of 17 destinations from Varna airport in the summer of 2010, starting on March 27, Bulgarian media reported on March 26. Destinations include Sofia, London, Vienna, Budapest, Moscow, Rostov on Don, St Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Ekaterinburg, Odessa, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Oslo, Warsaw, Brussels, Luxembourg and Kishinev. Ural Airlines will provide a new service to Ekaterinburg, while Sofia to Varna will be serviced several times a day by Bulgaria Air and Wizz Air. There will be a daily service from Varna to Vienna operated by Bulgaria Air and the Austrian national carrier, while Hungarian carrier Malev Air will operate nine flights a week to Budapest. Meanwhile, flights to Luton will be increased to thrice weekly by Wizz Air, starting on May 22. Regular flights to Moscow will be conducted by Bulgaria Air once a week, while S7 Airlines will fly to the Russian capital six times a week, a service due to start at the end of June. Regular flights to and from St Petersburg every Tuesday and Friday will be launched at the end of April. In May and June, flights to Oslo, Warsaw, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Brussels, Odessa, Luxembourg and Kishinev will also be introduced.
