6. Hotel Colosseum (Bulgaria)
Unlike what the name of the hotel suggests, it doesn't lie in Rome but in the Bulgarian resort Sunny Beach. The hotel is very clean according to the guests, but the food is not chewable. "Everything tastes like sour pickles," said a tourist afterwards. "You really cannot label it as food".
1. Hotel Tintjava (Bulgaria)
The Bulgarian hotel Tintjava in the Golden Sands Resort beats it all and is therefore placed as the number one at this list. The worst food is, according to participants in the survey of the site HolidayCheck served found at this hotel. Hygiene in the kitchen and beyond is just terrible making the food totally inedible. Fungi thrive luxuriantly on the buffet. If you're not careful, you're sick of eating.
Other countries scoring well in this list are Turkey with three runners up, Spain and Egypt each 2, and Greece closes the ranks with a definite no-go at the Greek island of Zakynthos with the Belussi Beach Hotel.
